Exercise class practically puts you in Cirque du Soleil

Her love of Cirque du Soleil, which this full body workout mirrors, is the reason why she was signed up. The class allows you to tap into your inner acrobat and experience the sensation of flying.

"I felt like I was 6 years old in a tree again, just playing, and I couldn't get enough of it," Schiller said.

Schiller may not have actually run off with the circus, but is thrilled to be doing the next best thing. Jukari Fit to Fly is one of the most unique workouts at Equinox.

As Lynze explains, it's like you're part of the world renowned cast of Cirque du Soleil, where creativity and team work are so much a part of the show and are also key to her class.

"Instead of having a goal of losing 10 pounds or having certain biceps, when you focus on getting better at a skill, the aesthetics happens and you've achieved something," Schiller said.

During the one hour class, you'll incorporate fly sets which hang from the ceiling. No need to worry about falling. The straps can support up to 2000 pounds.

You'll also rely on a moveable trapeze bar and a keen sense of where the person next to you is, at all times.

The one mistake: underestimating just how hard this head spinning work out is.

"You have to train your entire core. Your laps to hold yourself on the trapeze bar, jump up onto the air as soon as you have suspension or leverage into the air, it's very cardio vascular, the heart rate, you burn about 400 or more calories per class and don't even feel it," Schiller said.

Lynze says Jukari is appropriate for those at any fitness level. The only must is a healthy imagination. She says the hardest thing about this class is getting used to hanging and swinging on that trapeze bar for the majority of the class.
