Woman loses control, slams car into house in Folsom

FOLSOM, Calif.

The teenage driver was driving at least 80 miles an hour on Oak Avenue around 6 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses say that is when she ran a stop sign, lost control of the 1998 Mercedes-Benz, and slammed into the house at high speed. The vehicle went through the living room area and ended up in parts of the kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom.

"It looked like a movie, like a drifting movie," said witness Mac Schmitz.

The female driver of the vehicle was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. A witness who helped get her out of the car said she was bloody and bruised.

Her uncle came to check out the scene and claimed her accelerator got stuck.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
