Firefighters quickly put out the fire, which was reported at 2 a.m. in the 6800 block of Tujunga Avenue.
Witnesses said flames could be seen shooting through the roof.
No injuries were reported. Damage from the fire has not been estimated. An investigation was under way to determine the cause of the blaze.
