Santa Monica High aide charged with sexual battery against student

SANTA MONICA, Calif.

The Santa Monica Police Department began an investigation after a 15-year-old female student said she was grabbed on her buttocks by Kevin Ramirez, 34, a part-time instructional aide assigned to work with special education students.

Ramirez is scheduled to be arraigned on February 27, 2013.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Leslie Trapnell at (310) 458-2256 or Sergeant Renaldi Thruston at (310) 458-8414 or the Santa Monica Police Department (24 hours) at (310) 458-8495.
