California Academic Decathlon: Granada Hills Charter HS wins 3rd year in a row

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

Granada Hills Charter High School won first place for the third time in a row, earning 56,165.50 points out of a possible 65,400. El Camino Real Charter High School placed second with 55,669.50 points.

Both nine-member teams will now advance to the national championship in Minneapolis, Minn., scheduled for April 25 to April 27.

According to California Academic Decathlon officials, California has won the last 10 national titles and has won 15 national titles in the past 18 years of national competition.
