Police say Irvine Perez allegedly attacked his victims between June and October. Police say Perez, 30, would drive around North Hollywood looking for young women walking alone. He'd then run up behind them, often grabbing their buttocks.
He targeted school-aged teenagers, according to police. Police say he allegedly chased a 17-year-old and tried to kidnap her. He also allegedly attacked another 15-year-old twice. In total there were at least seven victims.
A victim remembered the license plate on his car, so detectives tracked him down and arrested him. He's now out on bail awaiting multiple felony counts.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
Perez is a registered sex offender. He was convicted in a series of assaults in the San Fernando Valley between 2006 and 2007.
A press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday to release more information on the suspect.
Anyone with information regarding the case was asked to contact LAPD North Hollywood Sexual Assault Detectives at (818) 623-4090.
