Authorities were called to the residence on the 5800 block of Rose Avenue around 3:30 p.m. and discovered the bodies of a man and a woman inside. They both sustained gunshot wounds.
The coroner has ruled 43-year-old Kristie Perez's death as a homicide and 47-year-old Javier Perez's death as a suicide. Police said the two were married and lived in Long Beach.
