DMV offices open earlier in advance of extended weekend hours

Starting Monday, five L.A. area DMV offices are opening an hour earlier.

The DMV offices in Lincoln Park, Newhall, Pomona, Santa Ana and Winnetka each opened at 7 a.m.

Officials hope the move will help ease customer wait times.

Some local DMVs will also be offering extended Saturday hours beginning this weekend.
