TORRANCE, Calif. (KABC) -- The wild brush fire that swept through the Cajon Pass last month destroyed 20 vehicles and nearly charred a vintage Jaguar, which had just been purchased by a man in Torrance.

Malcom Croxton was planning to restore his 1962 Jaguar E-Type when the car carrier transporting the British beauty was caught in the North Fire.

Croxton said the Jaguar had no fuel and had not been driven in 25 years, which helped save the car from further damage. He said it should take about a year to restore.
