Josh goes after Nick's love interest - again - on 'Bachelor in Paradise'

NEW YORK -- Before we could get to the "real" story this week, the Josh Murray, Nick, Amanda, love triangle, we had to see what happened with Chad's blowup from the end of last week. The group was so happy that "The Chad" was gone. They showed him drinking and eating deli meat in the SUV that was driving him away. Thankfully, that was all we had to see of Chad!

Enter Leah! You might remember her from Ben Higgins' season. She's the girl who tried to throw Lauren B. under the bus, but that lie did not work. The girls were dreading the drama that thy predicted she would bring. HA! She walked in with a date card and wanted to give it to Chad, but wait, he's gone! So who will Leah ask? Daniel asked Leah to go have a chat to see if he could make a connection. He was the first of many of the guys to sit down with her. Nick went back to hang out with the group after his chat with Leah, and felt the twins' scoliosis humps...interesting. Amanda was relieved that Leah didn't ask Nick out, but then she suddenly returned and asked Nick on her date. He said, "Yes," and Amanda was really bummed!

Lace told Jorge the bartender that she had no friends and she's worried that she's not going to get a rose. She wants to stay there long enough to meet someone or try to make a connection. Vinny came by and told her to capitalize on her connection with Grant. Grant is being distant to her, so she asked Vinny to go talk to him. He told her to go talk to him instead, but Vinny did her a solid and spoke to Grant for her. He decided to be a nice guy and said that he would go find Lace. He said he felt weird because he liked her and she went off with Chad. Grant said he understands how that can happen and he said, "Last night never happened." He wants to start off fresh with her. What a great guy!

Leah and Nick went on their date downtown where they sampled some drinks, tried some spices, and watched some knife jugglers in the town. Leah thinks that there is something there between them. They went for a walk along the water and Leah kissed Nick. He went for it and looked like he was going to bite her lips off! Leah is really hoping that she gets a rose from him!

Amanda FaceTimed with her daughters who miss her a lot! She told them that she would be home soon, but she might be there for a few weeks yet! It's so tough to leave your kids at home for that long! Meantime, Leah and Nick returned from their date. Leah gushed to the ladies that she had a great connection with Nick and said that they had a great time. A date card arrived and it was for Nick! "There are no rules in Paradise, your next date is tonight," the card read. He said that he wanted to get to know as many people as possible, so he asked Amanda. Leah was really disappointed and confused. Leah walked in to the girls' room while Amanda was getting ready and started saying that she had all the same makeup as Amanda. It got very bizarre. The twins said they think she was trying to psych Amanda out, but they hoped that she wouldn't let it get to her.

Nick took Amanda out for drinks where they talked about their personalities and Nick just fawned over her. He really seems to like her! Amanda felt as though they were on the same page and making a great connection. She called it the best first date that she had ever been on. Then, they went and sat by a campfire and did some kissing.

Sarah is desperate to stay in the game so she tried to lure Vinny away from Izzy. He was touching her leg a little big and she kept referring to her time with Vinny a date right in front of him and he didn't correct her. Carly and Evan were hanging out and she wanted to see what kissing him would be like. He snuggled up to her, but he wasn't acting very masculine around her. She told him she was going to go to sleep and he went in for a kiss. Evan thought their first kiss was incredible, but she didn't seem to feel the same. She said, "That kiss was so terrible!" She said she doesn't understand how he has any children kissing like that! She seems to want to play him a bit just to get a rose.

Lace and Grant spent the entire day talking and then they did some joking around and kissing on the beach. "Oh they are getting it on now," Daniel said (Imagine it with a Canadian accent). Grant took her into a private room where they could spend some more time together. Lace covered up the camera and all you could hear were a lot of kissing noises and her talking about getting on top. Oh boy. Cue a shot up of two crabs mating. Then the camera became uncovered and Lace was horrified when she discovered it! She was fully clothed! So it sounded like some fancy editing. It doesn't seem like very much "actually" happened there.

Then it was almost time for the first rose ceremony, but first they got to have a "cocktail party". Chris Harrison announced that if either twin gets a rose, the other one will automatically get to stay. That seems a bit unfair! Emily and Jubilee were both trying to get Jared's rose and Sarah and Izzy were both after Vinny. Vinny actually went in for a kiss with Sarah! Sarah likes him a lot! But does he still have feelings for Izzy? Then after he spent some time with Izzy, he kissed her too! He seems like he doesn't know what to do. Leah and Amanda were both after Nick and I think it's clear after his date with Amanda who he's into. Leah made a very hardcore pitch at Nick and he stumbled around but told her that he connected with Amanda a bit more. As a last resort of types, Leah and Daniel discussed whether she was an onion or an orange...it was ridiculous. Daniel seemed to like Sarah, but said if he were to hook up with someone that night it would be one of the twins.

At the rose ceremony: Grant gave his rose to Leah, Nick gave his to Amanda, Evan gave Carly his rose, Jared decided on Emily, Vinny gave his rose to Izzy, and Daniel who had the last rose gave it to Sarah! He said, "These guys saved the best for last." That was really sweet! That meant that Jubilee and Leah were sent home.

With that, the power is now in the ladies' hands! They will be handing out the roses at the next rose ceremony. Just as Nick was feeling great about him and Amanda, Josh Murray entered the show. He walked in with a date card and the ladies swooned! His date card read, "Josh I can't believe you are still single, get to it, your date is today." He made the rounds and spoke to all of the ladies to see who he might be able to have a connection with. He seemed to get along well with Amanda. They talked about her daughters and how his little dog had cancer the past six months. Josh walked back in and asked Amanda on a date! Nick was so mad!

Then everyone just talked about how awkward it was for Nick. He told Daniel, "I'm dealing with it Daniel!" Meantime, a boat showed up and whisked Josh and Amanda off for an amazing date. Amanda told Josh about what happened with Nick so far, and he said he's just happy that she said "Yes" to him. He told Amanda that once the cameras stopped rolling, he and Andi had different values and it just didn't work out. He hates that she wrote a tell-all about things that he says aren't all true. Amanda says that she finds him to be a genuine person. She and Josh kissed and it got pretty passionate.

Another date card arrived, this time for Evan and he of course asked Carly. She thought about it for a second and said "sure." She said she's never not wanted to go on a date more in her life. They showed up to town with a huge crowd where they had to set a world record by eating hot peppers and then kissing for 90 seconds. They choked while eating the hot peppers and then they kissed for 90 seconds! A disgusting string of spit hung between them when they parted their faces from each other. After that, they went into the bathroom and threw up.

Jared and Emily had a very awkward date where she was basically throwing herself at him and he was not taking the bait at all. After trying over and over again, she took him for a walk on the beach and they finally kissed. It seemed more like he finally gave in to her.

Josh returned from his date and Nick confronted him and he told Nick that he's in it for the right reasons. Nick said he's "never seen anyone so unapologetic for no reason." He then went on to kiss Amanda right in front of Nick! It was pretty awful. The rest of the group could feel the tension and felt really bad for him. "Nick and I are on a very different level. There's lions and there's sheep, roar," Josh said. Josh versus Nick part two continues tomorrow night!
