Baseball fan strikes out after failing to catch foul ball three times

Every baseball fan hopes for the opportunity to catch a home run or foul ball at a live game. But no one wants to be the person to drop a ball on live TV, let alone on three separate occasions.

The man was spotted sitting near the dugout at the Yankees-Red Sox game in New York on Tuesday, failing multiple times to catch foul balls coming his way. On the first attempt, the fan tried to catch a foul ball coming from overhead, only to have it bounce off his chest. He got a second chance when a ground ball came tumbling his way, but again he was unable to scoop it up.

Finally a ball boy tried offer the man a consolation prize. He tossed a ball into the stands, only to have the man drop it again. Happily, the fan was able to keep the third ball as it stayed within his section.
