LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- While fans geared up for the important Pac-12 matchup between USC and Stanford on Saturday, there was a subplot to this game that put a smile on your face no matter who you were rooting for.
Jake Olson is blind. Most Trojan fans remember him as the Orange County youngster who lost sight in one eye and then both eyes due to a rare form of cancer.
Olson now attends USC. On Tuesday, it was a dream come true as he wore No. 17 and practiced for the first time as a member of the USC team. On Saturday, he wore No. 61 as he participated in pregame warmups.
Although he's blind, he can hike the football with amazing accuracy. And yes, it's possible he could actually play in a game this season.
