Body found in Echo Park lake after pedal boat capsizes

ECHO PARK, LOS ANGELES -- A body was found in Echo Park lake Thursday afternoon amid a search for a possible drowning victim.

The search began just after 4 a.m. Thursday.

Police say two men were on a pedal boat around 3 a.m., when the boat capsized.

One man was able to get out of the water. The other did not.

He's said to be a man in his 20s who couldn't swim.

The body found has not been identified.
