LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A trendy clothing brand is kicking up controversy. Teens love the look of the Brandy Melville line, but the majority of the clothes come in only one size: small.
It's one of the fastest growing brands among teens. The company's Instagram account already has more than two million followers with shot after shot of slim young girls wearing the clothes.
Critics say Brandy Melville, a clothing brand from Italy, is sending an unhealthy message to teens.
"The message that to be trendy and cute you have to wear a size 0 or 2 is a very dangerous recipe," said Dr. Barbara Greenburg, a clinical psychologist.
Brandy Melville has said in the past that the company believes its clothes can fit almost everyone.
