New California Science Center exhibit gives visitors virtual tour of space

EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Most of us will never get the chance to go to space. But starting this week, we can all experience it virtually.

The California Science Center's new Journey to Space Exhibition and 3D Film allows visitors to experience the sights, sounds and smells of being in space.

The 3D film showcases future plans for NASA and the space community, and the importance of forging ahead with space exploration.

The exhibit opens to the public on Thursday.
