HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- At least two suspects were taken into custody following a short high-speed pursuit through Highland Park Wednesday night.

The chase began at about 7:50 p.m. after police tried to pull over a silver sedan for reckless driving.

The driver, who was driving without his lights on, tried to evade police on the northbound 110 Freeway in the Highland Park area before exiting onto surface streets and stopping at Avenue 61 and Terrace Drive.

A suspect was Tased by a Los Angeles police officer following a pursuit in Highland Park Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015.

Both the driver and the passenger bailed on foot. The driver was Tasered by a police officer. He fell onto the street where he was quickly swarmed by officers. The passenger was detained by police moments later, just a few blocks away.

Authorities found a gun the suspects allegedly tossed on the southbound 2 Freeway near Glendale Boulevard in Echo Park.
