ABC7 President, General Manager Cheryl Fair receives Distinguished Journalist Award

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- ABC7 President and General Manager Cheryl Fair received the Distinguished Journalist Award for Television from the Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists Thursday night.

She was congratulated by former ABC7 President and General Manager Arnie Kleiner, who retired in January. Rebecca Campbell, president of the ABC Owned Television Station Group, presented the award to Fair.

A special award was also given to ABC7's courtroom artist, Mona Shafer Edwards. ABC7 reporter Miriam Hernandez presented the award to Edwards.

Fair was the station's vice president and news director for 15 years before being promoted to president and general manager in February.
