Clinton cancels trip to California following health episode
Hillary Clinton has canceled her trip to California following a health episode at the 9/11 memorial, Press Secretary Nick Merrill said Sunday.

NEW YORK (KABC) -- Hillary Clinton was calling off plans to visit California on Monday and Tuesday after a health episode at the 9/11 memorial in New York.

Video showed the 68-year-old stumbling as she appeared to lose her footing. Aides and Secret Service agents holding her up as they help her into a waiting van.

Several hours later, her campaign revealed she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday, was put on antibiotics and advised to rest and modify her schedule.

Sunday's episode added to the debate over Clinton's health, but a new ABC News-Washington Post poll showed the presidential candidate still had an edge in the race for the White House, leading Donald Trump 46 to 41 percent.

Both candidates attended the anniversary ceremony but left early - Clinton going to her daughter's apartment after reportedly becoming overheated and dehydrated.

Two hours after the episode, Clinton was seen outside Chelsea's home, posing for a picture but not answering any questions about the incident.

Clinton's doctor said a Labor Day coughing fit led to the pneumonia diagnosis.

The Democratic nominee was scheduled to attend fundraisers on Monday and Tuesday in California, and tape an episode of Ellen DeGeneres' talk show.
