COSTA MESA, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities arrested a woman who they say caused a wrong-way crash on the 405 Freeeway that left one person injured in Costa Mesa on Saturday night.

The woman, who was driving an SUV, apparently entered the northbound 405 Freeway using the off-ramp.

Within about a minute, she slammed head-on into a car exiting the freeway at Fairview Street. The driver who was hit was critically injured.

The woman behind the wheel of the SUV was arrested for suspicion of DUI. She was not hurt.
