Dodgers TV blackout may be coming to an end

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The dispute that's prevented fans who don't have Time Warner from watching Los Angeles Dodgers games may be coming to an end.

Los Angeles Dodgers CEO Stan Kasten said Time Warner has agreed to enter into a binding arbitration that would bring back Dodgers games to TV. A letter by Congressman Brad Sherman urged Time Warner and other cable providers to come to an agreement.

"We are willing to enter into binding arbitration with DirecTV, and we appreciate the Congressman's concern for Dodger fans. We prefer to reach agreements through private business negotiations, but given the current circumstance, we are willing to agree to binding arbitration and to allow DirecTV customers to watch the Dodgers games while the arbitration is concluded," Time Warner released in a statement.

Kasten said if the proposal is agreed upon, it would end the blackout and Dodger games could be on air as early as Tuesday night.
