Kendrick Lamar to receive key to Compton

COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A big honor for musician Kendrick Lamar - the Compton native will be receiving the key to the city next month.

The 28-year-old rapper attended Centennial High School. Just last month, Lamar served as grand marshal of the Compton Christmas Parade.

Compton Mayor Aja Brown announced the latest news on Twitter, telling Lamar that he inspires millions and represents Compton with honor.
