LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- "The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic" is a new original special that will give viewers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the origins of the Academy Award-winning film, now the biggest animated feature film of all time. The one-hour special airs Tuesday, September 2, at 8 p.m. PT on ABC.

The special will be hosted by Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf in the film, and will feature interviews with Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, John Lasseter and the "Frozen" filmmaking team. Viewers will be given a rare look inside Walt Disney Animation Studios, and will also be taken to the Norwegian villages and landscapes that inspired the look of the fictional kingdom of Arendelle.

Viewers will get new announcements about the next chapter of the "Frozen" story, and a preview of characters Anna, Elsa and Kristoff on an upcoming episode of ABC's "Once Upon a Time."

The special will also feature an exclusive sneak peek of "Big Hero 6," Walt Disney Animation Studio's next animated feature, currently in production.
