10 new places to check out in SoCal
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles is constantly changing. With so many new things to do it can be hard to decide what to do in your free time, but we have your back! This week's Eye on L.A. takes you to the newest and most interesting spots in and around the L.A. area.
The Kinney Venice Beach Driving the 405 is probably not something you want to do, but this great staycation spot we found in Venice will make it all worth it! The Kinney Venice Beach is a new boutique hotel featuring colorful rooms, fun communal spaces, and a perfect location. It's less than a mile from the Venice Beach Boardwalk and Marina del Rey. Wolfgang Puck's Rogue Experience, West Hollywood
Everyone knows that celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is an L.A. icon, and his new Rogue Experience lets you become familiar with top chefs from several of his world class restaurants, all in one seating! This dining experience is like sneaking into Wolfgang's house while he's away and having five of his best chefs cook you dinner, as you watch! Located in his test kitchen at the Pacific Design Center, this comfy space and true foodie experience comes with cocktails and a 12-13 course meal! Lono, Hollywood
It's tiki time! Escape to Lono for a tropical getaway in the heart of Tinseltown. Once you enter the bar you no longer feel like you're in L.A., but on a tropical island that's a perfect place to sit back, relax, and have some rum. Not only are their tiki cocktails fantastic, but the dinners are fabulously Far East. Some of their specialties take a few days to make, so check out their menu in advance.

The Dudes' Brewing Company, Huntington Beach
The dudes at The Dudes' Brewing Company are supplying good brews and a good time. Twenty-four different ice-cold brews means that they have a beer for everyone. With all their unique flavors, a tasting flight is a must-do! Their fruity beers are extremely popular with flavors like blood orange vanilla amber ale or key lime pie cream ale. Brewport Tap House, El Segundo
The Brewport Tap House offers a completely new experience for beer and wine lovers. At this tap house, you are your own bartender! When you arrive, you're given a wristband that keeps your tab while you tap your own beers. You can pour just a taste, or a full beer, everything is up to you. The Park Restaurant and Bar, Oak Park
Talk about being brand new, The Park Restaurant and Bar opened on June 15, 2017, and has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. The gorgeous and fun, park-like décor alone is worth a visit, but the food really rocks! Chef Jon Peloso has created delicious dishes like the "Fat Bastard," a brie and bacon jam burger or a 30 oz. Tomahawk steak for two. What really makes this place special is that it brings the community together, so when you walk in you're going to be surrounded by friends. And with their many huge screens, it's also the perfect spot to watch a game!

PBJ.LA, DTLA
Who doesn't love a PB&J? Well, PBJ.LA took this classic sandwich back to the drawing board and came up with a whole bunch of unique flavors. Try the exotic, "Indian PB&J" with curry cashew butter and spicy mango chutney. Or Eye on L.A.'s favorite, the "Red Eye," espresso peanut butter with dark chocolate raspberry jam (it's ta die for!). Trejo's Donuts, Hollywood
Danny Trejo is known for playing the tough guy in movies, but his new project is really taking sweets to the next level. Trejo's Donuts, at the corner of Santa Monica and Highland, is hard to miss. The new, state-of-the-art Annenberg PetSpace is much more than an animal shelter, it's a community space where you come to learn about the special relationship you have with your pets.
