GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Frightening surveillance video captured the moment police said a van blew through a red light and caused a violent crash in Glendale.
The crash happened at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and New York Avenue just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Security cameras at Car City captured the crash and shows a van and car colliding, just missing a pickup truck coming through the intersection.
Glendale police said the van ran a red light. Officials are trying to determine if the crash was caused by human error or a mechanical failure.
A man and a girl were extricated from the car and airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the van suffered minor injuries.
