Fountain Valley pedestrian killed in hit-and-run

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is underway in Fountain Valley for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a pedestrian early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 3:20 a.m. on Brookhurst Street, south of Warner Avenue, according to police.

Authorities described the victim as a Hispanic male in his early 30s.

The driver fled the scene in a silver Honda Pilot with possible front-end damage.

Surrounding roads were closed for the investigation.
