A house built by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1921 will be restored thanks to $1.9 million from the city of Los Angeles.

EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Hollyhock House Residence A in LA's Barnsdall Park was designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1921. Decades later it was used for arts education classes and then abandoned.

Today the architectural gem in East Hollywood is on its way toward a restoration, after the city of Los Angeles allocated $1.9 million to help fund the project.

Officials say they plan to look at the original design and restore it with Frank Lloyd Wright's values in mind.
