Disney to unleash 'Frozen Fever' short film in March 2015

Disney's "Frozen" is making its big screen comeback with a new animated short that will open ahead of the studio's latest live-action feature "Cinderella."

"Frozen Fever" brings together the hit film's cast for Anna's birthday. Elsa and Kristoff are planning the birthday bash, but "Elsa's icy powers put more than just the party at risk," according to the company's news release.

Directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee head the short, which is produced by Peter Del Vecho and Aimee Scribner. The short will also feature a new original song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

"Cinderella" and "Frozen Fever" open in theaters on March 13.
