'Flurries' are not your typical frozen treat

CYPRESS, Calif. (KABC) -- Tired of the usual ice cream or frozen yogurt? It's time for a different kind of summer treat: Flurries.

Flurries Shaved Snow Bar in Cypress is not your typical dessert destination.

"It's a newer idea. Actually, the original product, they call it Taiwanese shaved snow. We've brought it around to a more broader market. We've taken some classic American tastes, American desserts and put our spin on it," said Flurries manager Don Hirata.
