GRAND TERRACE, Calif. (KABC) -- A hash oil extraction lab was found in the backyard of a Grand Terrace home Sunday.
Authorities responded to the 12000 block of Arliss Drive regarding a report of domestic violence. When San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies arrived, they located a suspect in a workshop in the backyard.
Once inside, deputies found a honey oil extraction lab on a table and the man, identified as 49-year-old Dave Cross, was arrested. He was booked into Central Detention Center.
Sheriff's Narcotics Division detectives responded to the scene and properly disposed of the lab.
A honey oil, or hash oil, lab is when someone uses butane to extract the THC from marijuana. People who try to create honey oil can injure themselves or cause an explosion in the process.
