Hawaii is currently bracing for the arrivals of Hurricane Iselle and Julio. Hurricane Iselle could pass through the islands as early as Thursday, and Julio is expected to make landfall within the next few days. Weather officials are warning, the entire state to prepare for flash flooding, and residents have been rushing to stock up on essential food and survival items.

1992, Hurricane Iniki: This was the most devastating hurricane to ever strike Hawaii. The storm caused over $1.8 billion in damages, 1,400 destroyed homes and resulted in six deaths.
1982, Hurricane Iwa: This storm caused severe property damage and one death. Iwa also resulted in damages up to $250 million.
1959, Hurricane Dot: This storm passed over the Kauai island of Hawaii, bringing in winds with speeds over 100 mph.
