Surfer uses inflatable mattress as board as he catches waves at Newport Beach's The Wedge

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Surfer Quinn Kasbar rode a huge wave at The Wedge in Newport Beach on an inflatable air mattress.

Video of the stunt showed him catching some air, but the fun eventually came to an end when he was engulfed by the giant wave.

The famed Wedge is known for dangerous waves that can reach up to 30 feet.
