Hockey player gets body checked by his own stick

Mitchell Skiba is a defensemen for the Alpena Flyers of the Midwest Junior Hockey League. According to Next Impulse Sports, Skiba received a game misconduct penalty for spearing during a recent game against the MC Monarchs.

But as Skiba skated off the ice, his stick got caught in the floorboards, sending the player down to the ground, leaving his stick behind. Watch the funny hockey blooper in the video above.
