Pedestrian fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Hollywood early Sunday morning, police said.

The incident occurred near Hollywood Boulevard and Ivar Avenue just after 4:30 a.m.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has not been identified pending notification of kin.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with further information was asked to contact the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division.
