Girl, 3, rescued after near-drowning in Orange County

UNINCORPORATED ORANGE COUNTY (KABC) -- A 3-year-old girl was transported to a local hospital after being pulled from a community pool in unincorporated Orange County Saturday.

The incident occurred at Irvine Park on Irvine Park Road around 5:55 p.m.

Witnesses say the girl was left unattended for about 30 to 60 seconds when she fell in the water. Bystanders helped pull her out and then administered CPR.

Responding paramedics say the girl was talking and acting appropriately. She was transported by ground ambulance to Children's Hospital of Orange County as a precaution.

No further information was released.
