EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- It was pure excitement for Los Angeles Rams fans after an amazing comeback against the Dallas Cowboys in the team's preseason opener Saturday.
Thousands turned out to see the Rams return to the field at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. Fan's tailgated before the game, enjoying cookouts, celebrations and a friendly NFL rivalry.
"It was amazing to see the Rams back in L.A. and actually make it and win - No. 1," Sydney Azria said.
It had been 22 years since the Rams last played in Southern California and 36 years since playing at the Coliseum.
The Rams return gives a whole new generation in the Southland a chance to become a fan.
The team beat the Cowboys 28-24 in the last few minutes of the game. The next preseason game is on Aug. 20 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
