Man found bludgeoned to death at Mount Washington park

MOUNT WASHINGTON, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was found bludgeoned to death Monday afternoon at Sycamore Grove Park in Mount Washington.

Los Angeles police were called at about 3:30 p.m. to the 4700 block of North Figueroa Street. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the body.

The attack occurred on a staircase for a pedestrian bridge over the 110 Freeway, police said.

No suspect information was immediately available. A homicide investigation was underway.
