LYNWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- One man died and two others were injured after being shot in Lynwood on Sunday. Authorities are searching for the gunman.
Deputies responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of 110th Street just before 1 p.m., the L.A. County Sheriff's Department said.
According to detectives, three male victims in their 20s were standing on the sidewalk when a car pulled up and someone inside shot at them. The car was last seen speeding away west on 110th Street.
The men were rushed to local hospitals. One of the men died. Another victim underwent surgery. The third victim was expected to survive.
A witness, who didn't want to be identified, said at least one of the victims is his neighbor. He described what happened.
"There was a car that drove by and I guess started arguing with the two victims, and the shooting ensued and so they took off," the witness said.
The witness said from what he could tell, one of the men was shot in the neck and another in the finger.
The sheriff's department described the suspect's car as a four-door, light colored vehicle. A suspect description has not been released.
