MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.8 hit near Malibu on Saturday.

The micro quake happened 8 miles west northwest of the beach city at 7:15 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

An Eyewitness News viewer in Newbury Park reported feeling the shaking and described it as a quick bump.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
