Baby dead in Van Nuys; authorities investigating

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A baby boy died in Van Nuys on Monday, authorities said. An investigation is underway.

Los Angeles police officers responded to a death investigation in the 7400 block of Woodman Avenue around 4:20 a.m. The 3-month-old boy was found unresponsive in his crib. According to the coroner, the baby was dead on arrival.

The Abused Child Unit is taking over the investigation, police said. No other details were immediately available.
