Hollywood water-main break floods street, shuts service

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A broken water main was to blame for flooding along the 900 block of North Heliotrope Drive in Hollywood Saturday morning.

The water main broke around 6:30 a.m., leaving 24 homes in the area without service.

Crews with the Department of Water and Power were working to repair the broken 4-inch pipe and said the job could take up to four to six hours.
