Man fatally shot in Hollywood murder

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man about 28 years old was fatally shot Friday morning in Hollywood, an incident that launched a homicide investigation, police said.

Los Angeles police officers heard shots fired and found a man unconscious with a gunshot wound in his chest at about 2 a.m. in the 1700 block of North Las Palmas Avenue. The victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Los Angeles homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
