Man shot in Echo Park; search for gunman

ECHO PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police are searching for a gunman in the Echo Park area after a man was shot Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to the shooting in the area of Glendale Boulevard and Reservoir Street at about 8:30 a.m. A man in his 30s had been shot once. He was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition.

Police say a jogger called police after hearing a shot fired and a man yelling. It's not yet known if the victim was also jogging.

A suspect description was not immediately available.
