Multi-car crash on 605 Freeway in Whittier caught on camera

WHITTIER, Calif. (KABC) -- A dramatic multi-car crash on the 605 Freeway in Whittier early Sunday was caught on camera.

Video showed a two-car accident blocked the freeway, and then a third car slammed into the wreck.

The first crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the 605 Freeway, just north of the 60 freeway. Moments later, a silver Mercedes Benz crashed into the accident.

Other vehicles came close, dodging the accident at the last second. Some were driving right through the middle.

Several people standing in the freeway also came close to being hit. A woman hurt in that crash was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

One person was arrested, but there was no word on the charges.
