Persons of interest sought in mysterious disappearance of South Los Angeles woman
A South Los Angeles woman disappeared in March under mysterious circumstances. The LAPD is now asking for the public's help to find her boyfriend and two other persons of interest in connection to the case.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police detectives say 60-year-old Zakiyyah El A'min was reported missing more than a month ago after she failed to show up for work.

El A'min's family members say she has not been heard from since March 23. They say she was last seen with her boyfriend, 48-year-old Kevin Walker Jones.

Two days after El A'min was reported missing, Jones was seen moving things out of his downtown L.A. apartment, police said. He has not been seen since and his whereabouts are unknown.

Police say Jones is a person of interest in El A'min's sudden disappearance and they'd like to talk to him.

"We do believe that there's a possibility, given Mr. Jones' criminal history, that there could be some foul play involved," said LAPD Detective Salaam Abdul.

Jones has a history of domestic violence and assault. Police believe he may have fled to New York.

"He was the last person seen with her. He was driving her car. She hasn't returned home and it's been over a month," said Aqueelah Dixon, El A'min's daughter. "If you are out there, just know that I love you and I refuse to give up until we find you."

Surveillance video also shows an unidentified man and woman moving belongings from Jones' apartment on March 28. The unidentified duo are also being called persons of interest by police.

El A'Min was described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes, about 4 feet 11 inches tall and about 150 pounds. Jones was described as a black male with a shaved head and brown eyes. He's 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of El A'min and Jones, or the individuals seen in the video, are urged to contact LAPD Robbery Homicide Detectives at (213) 486-6890.
