Orange County piano teacher accused of lewd acts

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (KABC) -- A piano teacher has been arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts on a child, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

John Mordecai Scott, 58, of Lake Forest was arrested on Friday for lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. He was booked into Orange County Jail and is being held on $500,000 bail.

Investigators say he is suspected of showing and taking lewd photographs of a female minor at his residence and place of employment.

The suspect taught piano classes at his home on the 20700 block of El Toro Road in Lake Forest and at Coast Band Music on Via Fabricante in Mission Viejo. Scott also taught at OC Music located on Aventura in Rancho Santa Margarita.
