McDonald's French fries spilled over 5 freeway after truck overturns in Irvine

IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) -- Some Southern California McDonald's restaurants will be short a few French fries this week.

A truck carrying boxes of fries overturned on the 5 Freeway in Irvine early Sunday morning.

The driver was not hurt, but he did lose his entire load of frozen French fries, which were scattered along the side of the freeway.

No other cars were involved with the crash.

Traffic was not affected, and the scene has since been cleared.
