SoCal to see light rain, cool temperatures Sunday
Parts of Southern California saw some light showers early Sunday morning, and more rain is expected later this afternoon.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Parts of Southern California saw some light showers early Sunday morning, and more rain is expected later this afternoon.

A weak front passed through the region and contributed to some light drizzle or rain overnight.

There will be a break later on Sunday but the second round of rain will begin late in the afternoon into the evening. The light showers will continue overnight into Monday.

Los Angeles and Orange counties on Sunday will be cloudy, with a high of 64 and a low of 51. A 30% chance of rain is expected in the afternoon.

The valleys and Inland Empire on Sunday could see some drizzle. The high will reach 66, dropping to 49 overnight. There is a 10% chance of rain.

Beaches on Sunday can expect a high of 63 and a low of 55 with a 10% chance of rain. That percentage will jump to 40 on Monday.

Mountains on Sunday will see partly cloudy skies, reaching a high of 51 and a low of 27 overnight.

Deserts on Sunday can expect sunny skies with a high of 67 and a low of 39. The high in Palm Springs will be in the lower 80s.
