Strong winds fuel house fire that spread from nearby truck in Perris Valley
PERRIS, Calif. (KABC) -- Strong winds spread the flames from a truck fire in the Perris Valley to a nearby home on Tuesday afternoon.
AIR7 flew above the scene, where flames were tearing through the roof of the home on Westport Lane near Ashby Lane.
The truck was spotted engulfed in flames nearby. It's unclear what sparked the initial truck fire.
Cal Fire crews were on the scene, working to extinguish the flames.
The fire comes amid extreme heat and high winds across Southern California.
A brush fire also broke out in Perris on Tuesday, growing to at least 57 acres and triggering evacuation warnings and orders for nearby residents.
