CHARLESTON, WV -- A reporter in West Virginia went to cover a story, but ended up making headlines as well when someone opened fire while he conducted an interview.

WCHS reporter Sean Delancey was just beginning to interview a woman about a shooting that had taken place previously outside a department store when they were interrupted by bullets whizzing past them.

"When I heard the first shot, my whole body got stiff, because I knew exactly what it was. It was only when I got behind the car that I realized how close it was, because you could hear that zip," Delancey said.

Delancey and the woman weren't hurt. Police are now looking for a gunman. Delancey said he could make out three or four young men in the distance who then fled the scene, but he didn't see who was holding the gun.

The bullets struck the Mountain Missionary Church.
