SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KABC) -- Thursday's storm hit Santa Barbara with rain and strong winds before reaching towards the Los Angeles area.

Near the pier, gusts blew sand into the streets and high surf could be seen. Rain falling more than one-inch per an hour was reported by nightfall, according to the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management.
A flash flood warning was issued Thursday night until 12:15 a.m. Friday for southeastern San Luis Obispo and northwestern Santa Barbara counties.
